Driving in the Australian outback you will come across a sameness, a vastness of almost nothing. Straw, hay or grasses that have long been bleached offering a canvas for light to dance across the horizon. The haze in the heat means that the view is endless. I loved exploring the texture of the fields. This painting was worked on over many months.
