Inspiration
We were fortunate to cruise the Kimberly Coast in far north Western Australia in September 2023. As part of the trip we took a helicopter flight over the Mitchell river. This is an embodiment of the rich yet arid colours of the wilderness. It can be paired with Kimberly II as they were painted together to demonstrate the vastness of this outback country. I could not wait to get back into my studio to get my paints out… I was completely lost in painting these.
